Haha, that would really happen. xD Miroku would be that stupid, but I guess he will (maybe) stop asking that, when Sango gives birth to the child. Or as we know Miroku, he will continue those questions to the womans. But this is funny.
i only have two problems with this pic. The first is the clouds. I know that they're there, but it looks like they're not completely present. Second, Sango's legs look a bit stiff here. As for her hand, make a fist like she would when Miroku is being, well, himself, and go from there.
Other than that, this is a very wonderful pic. It's quite funny, too. XD
Miroku: I was assisting this poor woman in- Sango: I'm gonna "assist" you when we get back home!
This is cute. A little odd though, at least, Sango's gait is. xD -it says advanced critique, so here goes.-
Its adorable. The thing that caught my eye was if Sango had no tummy-home, her back would be unusually crooked. I dunno if it's how pregnant women stand, but eh. I've never been pregnant. xD
Otherwise, Very good! ^-^
Here's my defense/excuse:
Much before I started drawing I had the concern of how to make Sango's walking convincing, but I couldn't find something to base the drawing on, especially considering that she's performing a rather uncommon(?) activity for a pregnant woman. The only character (anime/cartoon or real) that I have seen doing something similar is Misty/Kasumi from Pokemon, and she isn't a good model since she's not pregnant and can bend forward as much as she wants. So I just decided to make her walking more or less normal, and so far I have not seen any example that helps me improve this drawing convincingly.
Ah, cute to see a whole scene playing out. I've read just enough Inu Yasha to get a giggle out of this. Expressions are pretty good too, although it seems you might have wanted to make the girl a little cuter. She looks kinda plain for Miroku ^_^; (I just remember him complaining about geisha not being pretty enough when he was introduced)
In terms of artwork, I think all three figures look good. Miroku's right hand (left from our perspective) is a little bit clumsy, but nothing major.
The background is a little lacking though, the clouds especially look kinda bad, and the occasional spot of grass just makes you wonder where the rest of it is. Unfortunately considering the level of your figure drawing, it seems like you'll have to go the full mile with backgrounds to make them match.
Still lookin' great overall, though, as always, my criticisms are only minor.
Thanks. I hope to have gotten enough experience with backgrounds to produce a decent one for this image, when it's turn comes. I hope ^^'.
In any case, I think I'll rework this one a bit, so I can have most mistakes fixed befoe the coloring starts. I still don't know how to redo the hand, though.
Okay...I can't believe it, but...I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH SOMETHING IN THE ART. *dramatic flourish of music*
Sango looks a bit stiff...it's not a majorly noticable thing, but you must remember, I look at details first. Her legs and right arm just seem to stick straight out. I mean, I can understand the leg that's not raised, but in my eyes, it'd be hard to lift a leg straight up without bending at the knee, especially when the person walking is in the "Family Way". The arm also worries me. If that's a fist, I'd understand more if the hand was at her side, not projected forward like a "One-Inch Punch".
The pic is good otherwise. The lines are still crisp and clean, and the overall mood is wonderfully light, despite Sango's murderous intent. Yet another reason why I called you a great artist in that old journal entry of mine, and why I still think you're one now!
Thanks a lot for your observations.
You're probably right on both of them, though in the case of the leg, I'm pretty sure that I didn't plan it to be straightened (I failed to show that it is indeed bent at the knee, mainly because her dress covers her well). In any case, I'll give it a revision before I color it.
This pic shows that you've definitely made an improvement during those months out of this site. Not to mention the fact that Miroku is going to get his goodies handed to him by his pregnant wife if he doesn't shape up soon. Oh, and here's an interesting fact that you all should know. Some scientists say that a child's traits and behavior are learned by the parents and not inherited. In Miroku's case, I'm guessing that he's learned his rather lecherous traits from his father as a kid while seeing him hit on numerous beautiful women, married or otherwise. Well, later!
I see. Then I must've forgotten the second factor for the developement of a child's traits: environment. Meaning that the child can be effected by whatever surrounds him. Example: A child in a home filled with noise.
XD This is really cute just for the fact that we all know Miroku would actually do something of the sort. Cute work, I really like the clever idea behind it. As for art comments, I really like the movement of Sango's body and her positioning. If anything, Miroku's right hand seems a bit wonky, It may just be the angle, but it's as if his palm is too small. Im not trying to offend you, it's just something I noticed. I think it may just be due to that the hands seem a bit small on him and the girl on the far right (in comparison in thickness of the arms) It may just be your art style though. (Sorry I'm being so nitpicky, but it says advanced critiue encouraged). You did a great job though, and I really love the picture ^0^ Keep up the good work, kay?
Thanks a lot for your comments; I really appreciate you to take time to analize the picture.
You're probably right about Miroku's hand, though beside chnaging it's size a bit, I'm not sure how to make it look better; but that's just right now. I'm trying to be as close to the original style as possible.
And, yes, the manga and anime hint that he'd be tempted to do something like that , hence the idea. But I prefer to think that he would not dare to "consumate" his cheating whether Sango catches him or not.
Oh it's fine! I really like it when people look at my pictures for art more than just "belly" work! But I do really love your work so I'll definitely look at as much as i can ^-^ Glad I could help, but like I said earlier, I really do love this picture
